Demo update! (v0.5.3)


There's a new demo!

There've been a ton of gameplay + visual tweaks since the demo we put out in December (v0.2.3). So, here's an updated one! There isn't anything groundbreaking here - just lots of minor changes. We'll be updating the screenshots to match shortly, but there won't be another trailer until the launch of the full version.

Here's a selection of the most important changes, though there are more than we can realistically summarise.

  • The physics of 'bouncing' on enemies have been tweaked.
  • The title screen is a bit prettier.
  • The macOS build now runs natively on Apple Silicon - cheers Godot
  • Points have been tweaked. The most major change is that being vulnerable (ie. the timer is at zero) is now much more profitable.
  • RNG is more centralised; each playthrough is now more deterministic.
  • Prevented a situation where the player gets stuck inside the boss.
  • Stopped the player from being hit at the moment the boss is killed.

For anyone stumbling across this devlog, here's the old trailer. The demo now looks better than this, so you've got that to look forward to, right?【星川】
