Roadmap to v1 (and a bit further)



Hey hey, been a while. Development continues - we've got two more worlds, the final boss, and the outro to do. At this point, it's probably going to be 2-3 more months until release, so we wanted to give you an idea of what happens next. In order:

  • Early access: at this point, if you've bought the game, we're happy to send you a beta build - the caveat being that the game just kinda stops at a point. This is by appointment, so contact us via the support email you got with the game if you're up for it.
  • More testing: additionally, we've recently expanded our roster of playtesters to include some nutters who've completely destroyed worlds 3 and 4, which aren't the easiest. This is encouraging, but we'll also need to make sure the later worlds aren't completely unfair, in addition to, er, finishing the rest of the content.
  • Launch trailer: once we've got a whole game's worth of content to pick from, we'll refresh the trailer, and give you an actual release date.
  • Full release: nice
  • Soundtrack: given the limitations of the game's music system, we fancied making a seamless "directors' cut" of the soundtrack. It's now in the works, and will probably be on Bandcamp a few days after v1 is out.
  • v1.1: yes, DLC is already being planned! It'll be free. For those who've completed the main game, this will include a 'special' menu with level select, speedrunning options, and…
  • Festival Mode: you might have glimpsed this on the demo clear screen. We've endeavoured to make Feral Flowers tough but fair; Festival Mode will not be fair at all. It won't even be fair to unlock. It'll also have its own (non-original) soundtrack provided by a certain Japanese BGM site.
